The Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program, or DVAP, a joint initiative of the Dallas Bar Association and Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas, and Dallas law firms have partnered to hold free virtual and in-person legal clinics in September.
Virtual clinics are as follows:
- Thursday, September 1—DVAP and solo practitioners, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Thursday, September 8—Veteran’s Clinic – DVAP and Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Pro Bono Partners, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Thursday, September 15—DVAP and Carrington, Coleman, Sloman & Blumenthal, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Thursday, September 22—DVAP and solo practitioners, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Thursday, September 29—DVAP and Haynes and Boone, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

- Thursday, September 22—West Dallas Clinic, West Dallas Multi-Purpose Center (2828 Fish Trap Rd., Dallas), 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sponsored by DVAP and Association of Law Librarians
- Tuesday, September 27 —South Dallas Clinic, Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center (2922 Martin Luther King Blvd., Dallas), 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sponsored by DVAP and Katten Muchin Rosenman
Dallas County residents who would like to apply for free legal assistance should fill out the form available at: https://tinyurl.com/DVAPClinic. Participants should watch for a call from an unknown number that should be labeled “No Caller ID” or something similar.
