The Tarrant County Bar Association Diversity Committee, alongside the L. Clifford Davis Legal Association and Black Women Lawyers Association, will host a conversation on how to talk about race and racism.

“The R Word: How to Talk About Race and Racism” will be held at noon on August 24. The conversation is part of the Tarrant County Bar Association and the TCBA Diversity Committee’s SIDE Bar (Striving for Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity in the Bar) Conversations designed to foster conversations and address matters related to inclusion, diversity, and equity. The open discussion will be moderated by the BridgeField Group, a professional coaching company that focuses on helping clients build inclusive business relationships.

SIDE Bar is a safe forum for the bar to have frank and sometimes uncomfortable conversations about race, relationships, and cultural sensitivities to improve inclusion, diversity, and equity in the bar and community.
