In Memoriam – July 2020

The State Bar of Texas’ Membership Department was informed in June 2020 of the deaths of these members. We join the officers and directors of the State Bar in expressing our deepest sympathy.

• James B. Adams, 93, of Kerrville, died April 25, 2020. He received his law degree from Baylor Law School and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1949.
• William Behler Jr., 76, of The Woodlands, died February 23, 2020. He received his law degree from South Texas College of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1978.
• Bennie C. Boles, 84, of Center, died May 1, 2019. He received his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1969.
• Jane Llewellyn Brown, 64, of Littleton, Colorado, died September 25, 2019. She received her law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1982.
• John C. Cangelosi Jr., 78, of Rosenberg, died May 19, 2020. He received his law degree from South Texas College of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1970.
• William Brent Clarkson, 78, of Houston, died January 3, 2020. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1968.
• Jefferson D. Collier III, 80, of Highland Village, died April 22, 2020. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1968.
• Noble C. Cross, 90, of Dallas, died April 16, 2020. He received his law degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1960.
• Donald R. Curry, 76, of Fort Worth, died May 2, 2020. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1968.
• Robert Dabney Jr., 88, of Houston, died April 23, 2020. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1956.
• John E. Dees Jr., 77, of Carrollton, died May 15, 2020. He received his law degree from Georgetown Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1974.
• Harold R. De Moss Jr., 89, of Houston, died April 29, 2020. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1955.
• Carlton Dodson, 91, of Lubbock, died April 20, 2020. He received his law degree from Baylor Law School and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1956.
• Arthur G. Enos, 84, of Lady Lake, Florida, died February 3, 2019. He received his law degree from Baylor Law School and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1975.
• Martha Evans, 68, of Dallas, died April 16, 2020. She received her law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1977.
• Damien Edward Falgoust, 46, of Pearland, died June 26, 2019. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2003.
• Judy Fernald, 73, of Jacksonville, Florida, died May 4, 2020. She received her law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1974.
• James H. Finney, 84, of Mount Clemens, Michigan, died January 14, 2020. He received his law degree from Wayne State University Law School and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1988.
• Tabetha L. Garofalo, 52, of Houston, died February 18, 2020. She received her law degree from Loyola Law School and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1997.
• J. Robert Goldsmith Jr., 69, of Lakeway, died April 25, 2020. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1977.
• William P. Gregory, 72, of Tampa, Florida, died May 10, 2019. He received his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1974.
• Nels C. Hansen, 53, of Austin, died April 23, 2020. He received his law degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1995.
• James J. Hartnett, 90, of Dallas, died May 29, 2020. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1958.
• Dennis Stephen Helmick, 70, of Cincinnati, Ohio, died October 31, 2018. He received his law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1993.
• J. Robert Hester Jr., 79, of Arlington, died April 15, 2020. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1971.
• Robert Hinsley, 82, of Houston, died April 28, 2020. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1964.
• Thomas John Huebner, 71, of Port Isabel, died April 26, 2020. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1975.
• Dennis Johnson, 79, of Navasota, died April 19, 2018. He received his law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1983.
• Mary Ann F. Moore Kilgo, 73, of Austin, died May 4, 2020. She received her law degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1977.
• Allan R. King, 71, of Canyon Lake, died August 3, 2019. He received his law degree from New England Law | Boston and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1984.
• Paul Klatsky, 82, of Dallas, died May 8, 2020. He received his law degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1965.
• Richard Charles Kline II, 63, of Keller, died January 18, 2020. He received his law degree from South Texas College of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1983.
• Bryan Louis Kost, 62, of San Antonio, died April 25, 2020. He received his law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1992.
• Robert Levy II, 82, of Fayetteville, died March 23, 2020. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1963.
• Paul Lyle, 79, of Roanoke, died November 22, 2019. He received his law school from Baylor Law School and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1964.
• Holloway J. Martin Jr., 87, of Mexia, died April 2, 2020. He received his law degree from Baylor Law School and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1960.
• Donna Bobbitt McCall, 72, of Marshall, Arkansas, died January 3, 2020. She received her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1973.
• Bernard McDermott, 74, of Dallas, died May 10, 2020. He received his law degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1972.
• Hugh Edward McGee Jr., 91, of Houston, died May 20, 2020. He received his law degree from Baylor Law School and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1953.
• Linda L. McMillen, 72, of Sandia Park, New Mexico, died April 11, 2020. She received her law degree from Baylor Law School and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1980.
• William R. Pakis, 86, of McGregor, died April 23, 2020. He received his law degree from Baylor Law School and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1960.
• Diamond Pantaze, 92, of Dallas, died April 28, 2020. He received his law degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1965.
• Edward J. Patterson Jr., 84, of Galveston, died April 19, 2020. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1957.
• Lon G. Potter, 87, of San Antonio, died March 31, 2020. He received his law degree from South Texas College of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1965.
• James Reilly, 103, of Lakeway, died May 23, 2020. He received his law degree from Rutgers Law School and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1966.
• William G. Riddoch, 85, of San Antonio, died December 6, 2019. He received his law degree from the University of Denver College of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1971.
• Thomas Rodman, 89, of Austin, died May 21, 2020. He received his law degree from the University of Texas and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1955.
• Thomas Hugh Roe, 58, of Waco, died March 26, 2020. He received his law degree from Baylor Law School and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1985.
• Aubrey Lee Roland, 74, of Terrell, died October 29, 2019. He received his law degree from South Texas College of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1981.
• John S. Sellingsloh, 97, of Houston, died April 16, 2020. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1950.
• Jerri L. Sims, 64, of Lubbock, died May 3, 2020. She received her law degree from South Texas College of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1981.
• Ann Sizemore, 83, of Carrollton, died April 15, 2020. She received her law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1962.
• Matthew Sloan, 27, of Missouri City, died May 13, 2020. He received his law degree from Baylor Law School and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2018.
• Robert F. Spears, 76, of Dallas, died May 3, 2020. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1968.
• Sterling W. Steves, 94, of Fort Worth, died May 30, 2020. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1954.
• Michael Stewart, 72, of Missouri City, died March 1, 2020. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1973.
• Gus J. Strauss Jr., 76, of New Ulm, died April 28, 2020. He received his law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1968.
• Charles Tarpley, 80, of Detroit, Michigan, died April 12, 2020. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1973.
• Laurey Dan Tucker, 83, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, died June 21, 2020. He received his law degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1972.
• Joaquin Villarreal III, 75, of Robstown, died May 27, 2020. He received his law degree from Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1974.
• John Stephens Walker, 80, of Center, died August 21, 2019. He received his law degree from Samford University Cumberland School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1969.
• Robert E. Wilbur, 78, of Dallas, died May 4, 2020. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1966.
• Roger T. Yokubaitis, 74, of Houston, died November 13, 2019. He received his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1969.
• Steven Wayne Young, 67, died November 24, 2019. He received his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1977.
• Gus John Zgourides, 89, of Houston, died April 22, 2020. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1955.
