Veterans seeking legal help can stop by a free clinic in Conroe next month.
The Montgomery County Bar Association, The Woodlands Bar Association, and the Houston Bar Foundation’s Veterans Legal Initiative are hosting the event July 9 to provide legal assistance to any veterans or spouses of deceased veterans.
With no appointment necessary, individuals can receive one-on-one help from volunteer attorneys in a variety of areas of law including family, wills and probate, consumer, real estate, tax, and disability and veterans benefits.
Veterans who need continued representation and who qualify for legal aid will be assigned a pro bono attorney through the Houston Volunteer Lawyers.
The clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Conroe VA Outpatient Clinic at 690 S. Loop 336 W. in Conroe.
Veterans who cannot make it to the July 9 event can also attend Friday afternoon clinics sponsored by the Houston Bar Foundation from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the first floor of the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center at 2002 Holcombe Blvd. in Houston.
