The 14th annual Texas Minority Attorney Program (TMAP) will be held May 20 at South Texas College of Law in Houston and June 3 at Cypress Towers in San Antonio. TMAP is a one-day live CLE seminar and networking event geared toward minority and women solo and small firm practitioners.
Participants have the opportunity to learn more about issues facing solo and small firms, discuss various client development strategies, and network with area judges and other legal professionals.
Attendees of the Houston event will enjoy a presentation by Jolanda Jones, star of WE tv’s new series Sisters in Law; a judges’ panel; and courses on immigration, family, employment, and criminal law.
The San Antonio option offers courses on social media and advertising rules; discovery issues in employment law; updates on civil rules; and helpful information on wills, trusts, and probate topics.
Each event offers attendees over 6 hours of CLE credit (including ethics). Lunch and continental breakfast are included. Register by May 20 to pay the discounted registration fee of $90 for the San Antonio event. For more information on the Houston event including registration, click here.
TMAP is presented by the State Bar Office of Minority Affairs, which was created to serve minority and women attorneys and legal organizations in Texas. TMAP is cosponsored by the State Bar of Texas Diversity in the Profession Committee.
