Several Houston-area bar associations are teaming up to host a free legal clinic for veterans this Saturday, December 19, from 9 a.m. to noon. Participating organizations include the Montgomery County Bar Association, The Woodlands Bar Association, and the Houston Bar Foundation’s Veterans Legal Initiative. The clinic will be held at the Conroe VA Outpatient Clinic, located at 690 South Loop 336 West.
Veterans, spouses of veterans, and spouses of deceased veterans can attend the clinic to obtain legal advice and assistance on a variety of matters, including family law, wills and probate, consumer law, real estate and tax law, and disability and veterans benefits. Clinic participants do not need an appointment, and services are provided at no cost.
Pro bono attorneys will be assigned to some clients who are in need of ongoing legal representation and meet the income requirements for legal aid.
