In recognition of Law Day, the Houston Bar Association is extending its LegalLine hours on Wednesday, May 6, to noon to 9 p.m. During the time slot, Harris County citizens may call (713) 759-1133 to speak with volunteer attorneys regarding simple legal questions. If further assistance is needed, callers may be referred to additional services or legal aid agencies.

“The extended session of LegalLine on Law Day allows the HBA and its attorneys to reach more members of the Houston community seeking free legal advice or answers to their legal questions,” said Mitch A. Reid, a partner in Andrews Kurth in Houston and a co-chair of LegalLine. “It also provides an excellent opportunity for our volunteer attorneys to give back to the legal profession and help people in our area facing much greater challenges in their lives.”

LegalLine is regularly held on the first and third Wednesday of each month, from 5 to 9 p.m. For more information, go to hba.org.
