For Random Profiles, we randomly pick one of our 87,000-plus attorneys and do a Q&A. We’ve found that every Texas lawyer has an interesting story. Will yours be next?

Best thing about being a lawyer: I get to solve problems every day.

Secret for staying young: Laughing as much as possible.

If I had more time, I would: love to learn the art of photography.

Born: I was born and raised in Spring Green, WI.

Family: I live in Lakewood with my lovely husband, Todd, and our pound puppy, Charlie!

Areas of practice: Civil Litigation Defense

Doesn’t: swim in the ocean. Sharks need plenty of space, and I give it to them.

Culinary talent: I make a killer grilled cheese.

What kind of car do you drive? Toyota Prius. It’s good for the environment, but the real reason I own one is because I hate stopping for gas.

Latest pursuit: I have big intentions to become a paddle boarder.

The last movie I saw was: Harry Potter. I haven’t read the books and I’ve only seen a couple other Harry Potter movies, but it’s a hot summer and at this point, I’ll see anything that means sitting in a cold theater for several hours.

Favorite magazine: The Advocate. I love supporting my neighborhood!

Favorite food: I’m obsessed with olives, preferably of the green variety.

Favorite restaurant: Abacus.

Last book read: I love to read, and on my last vacation from reading case law, I read “Little Bee” and “The Help.”

My favorite weekend retreats are: weekends in Wisconsin when I cheer on the Badgers and visit friends and family.

Who is your favorite on-screen or literary attorney, and why? Matthew McConaughey in A Time to Kill.  I could watch that movie a million times and I’m sure I’m getting close. It has a compelling story, and displays the power of a jury.
