Volunteer attorneys will be available to answer legal questions at no cost from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. CDT on Wednesdays in May via a LegalLine e-clinic sponsored by the Dallas Bar Association.
To participate, complete the online form found here for the first clinic, scheduled for 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. CDT on May 4. The LegalLine e-clinic will also be available during the same times on May 11, May 18, and May 25. A volunteer attorney will call the participant and provide up to 15 minutes of free legal advice for a legal issue. Space is limited and registration for each session will close at 5 p.m. on the Tuesday prior to the clinic.
The volunteer attorney will remain anonymous, and participants should watch for a call from an unknown number labeled “No Caller ID,” or something similar. No attorney-client relationship will be established, and the calling attorney might not speak any language other than English. Individuals may also receive referrals to local, legal, or social service agencies.
For legal assistance at any time, the public can contact the Dallas Bar Association’s Lawyer Referral Service here.
