The Tarrant County SIDE (Striving for Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity) Bar will host a conversation on the role of allies, leaders, and the white majority at noon on November 19.
Lauren Leahy, chief legal officer of Pizza Hut, and Chequan Lewis, chief equity officer of Pizza Hut, will be guest speakers at the event.
The session will examine the burden of creating a society free of racism and how that burden should not fall on the minority or marginalized communities. The task of identifying racism, calling it out, and working to eradicate it often falls on minority communities.
The discussion will focus on how leaders, allies, and all attorneys can play a bigger role in combatting racism.

The event is cohosted by the L. Clifford Davis Legal Association and Black Women Lawyers Association.
