Legal advice and assistance is being offered to veterans who attend a free legal clinic at the Conroe VA Outpatient Clinic, 690 South Loop 336 West, Conroe 77304. Appointments are not necessary for the event, which runs from from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 11.
Any veteran or spouse of a deceased veteran will be able to sit down with a volunteer attorney for one-on-one advice and counsel in any area of law, including family, wills and probate, consumer, and real estate and tax law, as well as disability and veterans benefits.
Qualifying veterans in need of ongoing legal representation will be assigned a pro bono attorney through the Houston Volunteer Lawyers.
The clinic is a public service of the Montgomery County Bar Association, The Woodlands Bar Association, the Northwest Houston Bar Association, and the Houston Bar Foundation’s Veterans Legal Initiative.
The Houston Bar Foundation also sponsors weekly clinics on the first floor of the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center each Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, go to hba.org
