The State Bar of Texas Appellate Section is accepting nominations for the Texas Appellate Hall of Fame.
The Hall of Fame honors judges, attorneys, and court staff who are no longer living and made a lasting mark on appellate practice in the state in their lifetime.
Previous individuals who have been inducted include former Texas Supreme Court Justice James A. Baker; Hon. John R. Brown, a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit; former Texas Supreme Court Chief Justice Joe R. Greenhill; and W. James Kronzer Jr., a longtime appellate lawyer.
Nominations can be sent in writing to halloffametx@outlook.com by July 15 and should include the nominator’s contact information, the nominee’s biography or CV, a photo, and reasons for the nomination with emphasis on his or her contributions to appellate practice in Texas.
The Appellate Section will hold a reception Sept. 8 to honor the selected Hall of Fame inductees during the State Bar’s Advanced Civil Appellate Practice course.
