The Dallas Bar Association invites attorneys and members of the public to a free panel discussion on “Uncovering Implicit Bias and Understanding its Effects” from noon to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22 at the Pavilion at the Belo Mansion, 2101 Ross Ave. in downtown Dallas.
The panel will include: Hon. Bernice Donald, U.S. Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit; Prof. Sarah Redfield, University of New Hampshire; Rhonda Hunter, of Farrow-Gillespie & Heath LLP, past-president of the Dallas Bar Association; and Wei Wei Jeang, a partner at Grable Martin Fulton PLLC.
While the noon event is free, an optional $14.95 lunch buffet will begin at 11:30 a.m.
The event, sponsored by the Dallas Bar Association’s Minority Attorney Program and the Minority Participation Committee, will discuss the effect of implicit bias on the legal system and solutions to the issue. The event offers 3.75 hours of continuing legal education for attorneys, including 1 hour of ethics credit.
