Areas of practice: Criminal, family and some probate matters; also a part-time Juvenile Referee.
Best thing about being a lawyer: It is a constant challenge, because there is always more to learn.
If you could be anyone else for a day, who would it be? My daughter, would love to see the world again from a child's perspective.
Culinary talent: Albondigas Soup or a Homemade Pizza.
What do you think is the biggest challenge facing attorneys today? Keeping up with the effects of technology and social media in regards to your clients and practice methods.
Education: University of Texas San Antonio for undergraduate; South Texas College of Law for Law School.
Community Involvement: Junior League of Harlingen; First United Methodist Church; Pro Bono work for Legal Aid.
Most important career lesson: There is always more to learn.
Favorite saying/quote: Treat others as you wish to be treated.
Pet peeve: Laziness.
Favorite TV program: Revenge or Once Upon a Time.
The last movie I saw: Avengers.
Favorite food: Tacos, they are so versatile.
Favorite restaurant: None at the moment; enjoy home cooking.
Hobbies: Writing, spending time with family and our dogs.
If I had more time, I would: learn to sew or devote more time to my vegetable garden.
If you weren't an attorney, what profession do you think you would be in? A writer or a college professor.
What has changed the most technologically or practice wise since you have been licensed? A lot more e-filing.
How do you think the practice will change in the next 15 years? I wouldn't even try to look into the future, because I am too busy keeping up with today.
